Sing your blues away.....

"Sing, sing a song, sing out loud, sing a good thing not bad, sing old happy, not sad. Sing, sing a song, make it simple to last your whole life long. Don't worry that it's not good enough for anyone else to hear, just sing, sing a song." La la la la la la la.

Yes, I sing when I'm happy or even when I'm not. It lifts my spirit, it lightens my load. Try it. You may not be a good singer, just sing. Your voice may not be a replica of those singers or divas but constant singing practice may make you one, who knows? It is a good exercise for your lungs, creates a healthy heart, makes a new you! And a merry heart does good like a medicine!

Laughter.....

1. Get laughter into your relationships. Tell jokes or humorous stories . A well-developed sense of humor that allows us to see the funny side of things is a good medicine and an undisputed social asset.

2. Obtain tapes or cassettes/compact discs of funny movies. Watch them or watch with a group. Read humorous stories, share them. See the beneficial effects on your body . Effects of laughter can actually cause the brain to release its own pain-killing secretions.

4. Determine to begin every conversation with a joke or good news. Feel the power and effects
of being positive.

5. You'll feel better and so will each person you talk to. It will help to raise your spirits and the other person's as well. It's a chain reaction.

LAUGH AND THE WORLD LAUGHS WITH YOU. CRY AND YOU CRY ALONE!

Dreams.....

"The Bible, as well as other great books of historical and revealed religion, shows traces of a general and substantial belief in dreams. Joseph saw eleven stars of the Zodiac bow to himself, the twelfth star. The fame of Egypt was revealed by a vision of fat and lean cattle. The parents of the Messiah were warned of the cruel edict of Herod, and fled with the Divine Child into Egypt.

Pilate's wife, through the influence of a dream, advised her husband to have nothing to do with the conviction of the Messiah. But the gross materialism of the day laughed at dreams, as it echoed the voice and verdict of the multitude, 'Crucify the Spirit, but let the flesh live.' Barabbas, the robber, was set at liberty.

If Julius Caesar had been less incredulous about dreams he would have listened to the warning which Calpurnia, his wife, received in a dream.

Plato concurred in the general idea prevailing in his day, that there were divine manifestations to the soul in sleep. Condorcet thought and wrote with greater fluency in his dreams than in waking life.

People dream now, the same as they did in medieval and ancient times."

- Dr. Brian R. Metcalfe

My dreams (especially when I dream at dawn) usually do come true. Coincidence? They warn me that something will happen that's why I make it a point to relay them to my husband or a close friend. In a dream, I saw my mother in a mirror wearing a purple veil walking in front of me. Days passed after that dream, when for real my sister told me my mother had an allergy starting from her neck, ears and up to her face. Since then, she was always wearing colored veil to cover her face. I saw my three uncles standing inside three bedrooms when I opened three different doors. The three of them died in the order that I saw them in my dream on three different dates. Dreams do warn me that somebody will get sick when I dream of this person wading in muddy waters. Again in a dream, my husband was trapped in a swampy water and I tried to rescue him. The following day, he had a mild heart attack and had to be treated three days in a hospital. My dream did warn me that my mom would get sick one day after seeing her standing on a deep cloudy pool. So many , many dreams I can no longer recall but I believe they do caution me of events that will certainly happen in the future. "In the last days, the Almighty says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams. (Acts 2:17)

Fasting.

Fasting is an old custom, originating in ancient ritual, designed to promote health. The purpose of a fast is to cleanse the system of undigested residue, to stimulate the organs and glands, and to revitalize the entire system. Fasting does not necessarily mean abstaining from food, but does not entail following a specific diet of goods, liquids or a combination of both. Fasting should never result in dizziness, nausea or fatigue.

Many popular fasts may be detrimental to your health. A fast consisting of only water is valuable only in specific instances and not for prolonged periods of time. Water contains little nourishment and cannot cleanse the glandular system effectively or expel mucous from the digestive tract. Fasting for the first 10 hours of the day and then eating a heavy meal will drastically alter the metabolism and shock the system. It is not effective to try to combine eating with fasting. A fast should be followed for at least 24 hours or should not be attempted. Repeated fasting for one or more days a week, for months on end, will cause the stomach to repeatedly shrink and expand and may eventually harm the natural elasticity of the organ. Fasting for extreme periods of time may deplete vitamin and mineral reserves so badly that the body must metabolize its own bone marrow in order to continue functioning.

If you are mentally and physically prepared, however, fasting can be very beneficial to your health. A fast during an illness , such as a strict juice fast during a cold, can help the system to fight infection and heal wounds.

The length of a fast should be determined by your schedule. Do not attempt to fast when you are particularly busy or under severe mental or physical stress. It is important to remember that your method of ending a fast is just as vital as your method of fasting.

In the eyes of a child.....

In the eyes of a child , there is joy , there is laughter....

Yes, even a child is known by his actions, by whether his conduct is pure and right.

The Messiah says in Matthew 18:3 "I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoever welcomes a little child like this in my name welcomes me."

The Value of a friend, a husband, a wife....

Two are better than one.....

Because they have a good reward for their labor.

For if they fall, one will lift up his companion,

But woe to him who is alone when he falls,

For he has no one to help him up.

Again, if two lie down together, they will keep warm

But how can one be warm alone?

Though one may be overpowered by another, two can withstand him

And a threefold cord is not quickly broken.

Everything has its time ....

To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven:

A time to be born, and a time to die
A time to plant, and a time to pluck what is planted
A time to kill, and a time to heal
A time to break down and a time to build up
A time to weep, and a time to laugh
A time to mourn and a time to dance
A time to cast away stones and a time to gather stones
A time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing
A time to gain, and a time to lose
A time to keep and a time to throw away
A time to tear and a time to sew
A time to keep silence and a time to speak
A time to love and a time to hate
A time of war, and a time of peace.
BUT FOR THOSE WHO LOVE, time is eternal........
